Dawson Ko
By Day: UTS Business student.
By Night: Budding Entrepreneur.
Style: Casual conservative.
Season: Summer is my season!
Boxers or Briefs? Briefs.
Bikini or One Piece? One piece.
Skinnies or Loose Fitting? on girls..... skinnies, on guys....loose fitting.
Flats or Heels? heels.
As you can tell I'm pretty conservative, I'd blame that on my ethnic background. hehehe. Well, the inspiration to create this publication is the simple fact of necessity. I'm blind and I like to look good, and there just isn't an accessible fashion publication which could give me everyday fashion details and tips. So why not create your own? Besides being the editor of a fashion magazine, I'm a black belt in Karate, founder of a support network for the blind, an over the hill DJ, and father of 2 young kids.... okay.... the kids part is a joke, but one day???? *smile*. But a jack of all trades, but master of none, but this life has been a weird one, and I'm just waiting for my world to stop spinning and settle down a bit.... just a little bit. *smile*.

Alejandra
By Day: Family Gal cross University Hermit.
By Night: I'm being told "Giddy Vixen". But I'd have to say Fun Loving cross Coffee Nut. As corny as that sounds... and how caffeine mixes with fun loving does sound quite contradictory but trust me it isn't.
Style: My style is far too hard to define. I know that sounds incredibly big-headed of me, but my influences are quite extensive. My major influences are: Gothic; Elizabethan; Baby Doll; and Urban. If you can imagine a funky mix of all those, that doesn't resemble something out of the Expressionist Era, I applaud you.
Season: Spring and Summer are sooooo my seasons! Bring on the tanning, the night walks, the park life and the partying!
Boxers or Briefs? Boxers!!!
Bikini or One Piece? Bikini's are the way to go. They're more fun and carefree in attitude. However my position on tanning is nude!
Skinnies or Loose Fitting? On male's loose fitting. On females it has to be: neither! I am all for promoting femininity, so whilst sometimes one can get away with loose fitting, it is generally not ideal. Additionally, I am not a fan of skinny jeans. It makes any girl look like they've been squeezed out of a tube. Think of toothpaste and how when you squeeze it out onto your toothbrush, the part closest to the tube is "skinny" and the part that is further away is so not "skinny".
Flats or Heels? Heels! Heels! Heels! I cannot stress this enough. Please girls, just learn to WALK in them! I don't want to see girls stumbling every five seconds, or walking with their heels in their hands. It's unattractive and distracting.
I'm a university bum, almost 21 years of age, South American born, and my first known written and illustrated piece was created when I was eight or so about a bear called Mr. Bear who went to work. It consisted of around seven pages. J

By Day: Nerd.
By Night:
Style: I've been told I have various influences like skater, punk, preppey, surfey and a little homey. But I like to look good without trying.
Season: Summer or winter but not the in-betweens is my season!
Boxers or Briefs? Um I actually like boxer briefs - all the support of briefs but look much better.
Bikini or One Piece? The girls gotta have a bikini.
Skinnies or Loose Fitting? Loose but not homeboy style.
Flats or Heels? Heels.. and for the women heels too.
Im learning about life and all its got to offer. Ive got a path to go down now, even though there has been a set back. Buts its all a learning experience in the end. When it comes to clothes, I try not to put too much effort into it. If something needs to be replaced then thats when I buy clothes. When I do so I like them to be up to date but not too trendy. My clothes usually last me a while so I go for styles that will too.

Maree Jordanoski
By Day: Human Resources Professional
By Night: Socialiser - Nightclubs to dinner parties and all that's in between
Style: Depends on the occasion...something short and cute in Summer, warm and snuggly in Winter.
Season:
Boxers or Briefs? Those little shorts that are niether boxers or briefs but are oh-so-hot!
Bikini or One Piece? Bikini for the beach and One piece for strutting
Skinnies or Loose Fitting? Skinnies at the moment but this could change at any time.
Flats or Heels? Heels are the way baby!
I have had a love for shoes ever since my best friend introduced me to my first pair of pointy black classic stilleto's when I was in High School (too many years ago to admit...) Fashion for me is an expression of how you are feeling...It's amazing how you can throw something together when you are feeling relaxed but when you are anxious somehow nothing seems to match. Food for thought: Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

By Day: Arts Student
By Night: Urban Explorer!
Style: Grungy casual/alternative
Season: Autumn is my season.
Boxers or Briefs? Boxers, for guys...
Bikini or One Piece? Rash suit - need to keep the sun off!

Flats or Heels? Flats... usually in Purple Doc Marten form.
I am currently finishing my honours year in Communications at the University of Technology, Sydney. I have always intended to be a writer, but I still haven't decided what I want to write or what to do with my life while I make that decision. My favourite styles are those which look good, with little effort. I like to dress for practicality, but I don't want to look like everyone else on the street - that's not what fashion should be about! I tend to get really attached to particular bits of clothing and wear them until they fall apart. I'd love to be able to design and make my own clothing (or convince someone to do it for me).

Ly Huynh
By Day: Psychology/Arts student; Retail Sales Assistant
By Night: Freelance Graphic Designer, Illustrator, Jewellery Maker
Style: classic with a twist
Season: Spring is my (favourite) season! - but I love the clothes in winter.
Boxers or Briefs? Boxer briefs! The best of both worlds.
Bikini or One Piece? Bikini - its surprisingly much harder to pull off looking good in a one piece, let alone finding a flattering one piece in the first place.
Skinnies or Loose Fitting? Both - loose top + skinny bottoms or skinny top + loose bottoms - it's all about getting the balance right.
Flats or Heels? Flats for day; heels for night.
I'm a details girl - it's the small unique aspects that grab my attention, whether it be the buttons on a dress or the way someone tilts their head when they smile.

Eliza Tickle
By Day: A student studying Communications (majoring in Journalism), and a part-time Editorial Assistant.
By Night: I’m a couch potato on weeknights and try to catch the latest shows on TV, and on weekends I love to go out with my friends – clubbing, shopping, beach or to our local hotel for drinks.
Style: My style is generally vibrant and casual/urban cross feminine-chic – and interesting combination! I love a pair of killer heels with any outfit and I love dresses of all kinds.
Season: SPRING is my season! It’s not too hot, not too cold and you can wear what you like! I love the bright colours and funky patterns that come with Spring fashion and the warmer weather means we can drag our favourite dresses back out of the closet after Winter! Spring fashion is versatile.
Boxers or Briefs? Obviously this one is directed to the males, but overall I prefer boxers on guys.
Bikini or One Piece? Bikinis! No doubt about it!
Skinnies or Loose Fitting? This depends. Skinnies can only be worn with super-high heels (peep toes or Mary Janes) and a cute Saturday night top. I don’t like the look of super-skinny jeans with thongs or flat shoes (ballet flats are an exception to this rule). But at the same time, jeans can’t be too loose or flared. I opt for something in between – like Lee low rise, straight-legged jeans.
Flats or Heels? efinitely heels. A pair of killer heels will make an outfit and the wrong shoes can break an outfit. At the moment I’m loving my Mary Janes
I’m a full-time journalism student and I work part-time as an Editorial Assistant at an Australian magazine company. In the future I hope to work for a women’s fashion magazine or lifestyle mag, hopefully as an Editor! I looove animals, so any form of fur on clothing (real or otherwise) is an absolute no-no. My favourite clothing items and accessories include my Lee straight-legged jeans, my oversized Marc Jacobs bag (that I take EVERYWHERE) and I’m a lover of canary-yellow dresses. I hope you enjoy reading the current issue of Fashionable Eye!

Nastasia Campanella
By Day: I'm a completely crazy, stressed out journalism student studying at the University of Technology Sydney.
By Night: I'm an avid party animal. I love hitting the dance floors at clubs, spending heaps of cash at the bar, watching bands and just spending time with friends.
Style:
Season: My favourite season is without a doubt summer. What can I say? It's all about the beach, fruity coctails and family gatherings on Sunday afternoons. I find the fashion is always a lot nicer, I can show a little skin and since I'm completely pail all year round it is really great to have some colour in my face.
Boxers or Briefs? Isn't these for guys? I like wearing bikini style.
Bikini or One Piece? Definitely a bikini. Why would you bother going to the gym only to cover your body.
Skinnies or Loose Fitting? I like jeans so much. They are the best thing ever invented. I don't like skinny legs because people say they make me look skinny, but I also don't like loose fitting. I definitely like something tight around the waist ... anything from Sass and Bide really.
Flats or Heels? Shoes are a hard one. I absolutely love heals but find them really hard to walk in. Consequently, I'm almost always forced to wear flats, but you can actually get some really nice styles now so it kind of makes up for the fact that I'll always be a short girl when I go out. I guess this is why I like the saying, good things come in small packages.
I am a bit of a fashion queen. My favourite designers are Alex Perry, Morrissy, Alana Hill, Lisa Ho, Chanel and Sass and Bide. I love Cool Water perfume, Guess handbags, Diana Farrai shoes and anything red. Away from the catwalks and glitsy world of fashion, I do like the more simple side to life. I love to read books, listen to music, relax over the weekends with the newspapers, eating great food and drinking good wine at Sydney's best places and just spending time with the people I love. Most of all I love this fashion publication. As a journalism student I love the idea of writing about things I like, the publicity this magazine gets me and the people with whom I work on this with. Without their dedication the chance of the blind to have an informative read with a twist would siply not exist.

Alison Tanudisastro
By Day: Accountant/Uni Student
By Night: B-girl/rockstar
Style: A little bit hip hop ghetto superstar, a little bit rock 'n' roll poser, a little bit corporate class.
Season: NEW YORK WINTER is my season!
Boxers or Briefs? Briefs. There's nothing like showing off a bit of man-humps.
Bikini or One Piece? On grandmas, a bikini. On me, one piece. On Dawson Ko, nil.
Skinnies or Loose Fitting? Skinny denim AND loose fitting khakis. Can two bare essentials not co-exist in one's closet?
Flats or Heels? SNEAKERS. Screw Prada. Nike please.
Just a girl who likes playing dress-ups and being whoever she wants to be.

Joy Tsai
By Day: Fashion stylist at Ice, gym junkie wannabe.
By Night: Gathering my troops for a Connect Group event, wanting to groove to salsa and Latino music, dreaming about grooving to salsa and Latino music.
Style: Unique to say the least and slightly weird at times. I come up with my own 'seasonal uniforms' which I wear to death till I find something more flattering to slip into. At the moment, I highly favour tights/stockings and a mini with boots. No pants need apply!
Season: Summer of Love. <3 If I had my way, it'll be summer ALL YEAR round!
Boxers or Briefs? Both. Both can look enticing depending on the guy and his body.
Bikini or One Piece? Augh. I hate this question. I hate tan lines so I choose one that'll give me the LEAST amount!
Skinnies or Loose Fitting? Neither. I go for A MINI!
Flats or Heels? Both are great and you can play up both depending on whether you're after comfort and practicality or a bit of height and sexiness and slight discomfort. I have sensitive feet so I can never wear anything heeled for long periods of time.
I love fashion and all that you can do to express yourself with it! I see it as an art form and you can only perfect it as you go on. It's great to develop your own style and figure out your body shape so you know what styles look good on you and play up your assets and hide your flaws.
I believe we've all got something about ourselves to thank God for and really maximise whenever we dress. There's no point bemoaning a part of your body you can't change but do all that you can to keep yourself in shape and healthy. That way you know you'll look your best no matter what size or shape!
Fashion and dressing is something we're all constantly coming to grips with and I don't think a person will dress the same way for the rest of their lives so maximise every season you find yourself in, whether you're like me with a No Pants Policy!!

Flats or Heels? Flats

Erin "Lammy" Lam
By Day: An unassuming credit officer.
By Night: A Hardcore scrabble enthusiast.
Style: Thrown together at the last minute... literally. Sometimes whatever clothes I find on the floor, under the bed, on the dresser, in the bathroom...
Season: SUMMMER is my season!
Boxers or Briefs? Umm. I like the loose trunks on boys.
Bikini or One Piece? Bikini baby.
Skinnies or Loose Fitting? Look. Skinnies when I can get them on, otherwise loose fitting when I know I am about to eat a huge meal, which is most of the time actually.
Flats or Heels? Flats! Can't dance all night in heels can I?
I am about to start my Masters in Primary School Teaching, so I am definitely going to enjoy the freedom of jeans and Ts for the next two years of uni life!

Jessica Jazic
By Day: Miss Jazic, the corporate.
By Night: Bubbles! the mysterious everything.
Style: Casual sexy with a hint of bright colour. Anything that accentuates the legs.
Season: Summer....is my season! Theres nothing worse than winter, having to pile on so many clothes to the point people aren't sure if what lies beneath is human.
Boxers or Briefs? Briefs, with lace or detailing (for girls) and boxers (on guys).
Bikini or One Piece? Bikini.
Skinnies or Loose Fitting? Skinnies, with heels or pointed flats.
Flats or Heels? Heels unless my feet are recovering.
Currently working as a marketing assistant for a national fast fashion retailer, and am finishing a Bachelor of Business in Marketing at UTS.
I love anything with a touch of peculiar, and tend to look for big pieces that are timeless and classic, just like my taste in men and wine!
Where I work, the fashion moves at a very fast pace and it's great to see that you don't have to spend too much to gain alot from what you wear, the important thing is to be able to exude confidence in whatever you wear, and be proud of your style.

Mike Huynh
By Day: Industry certified squeegee guy at road intersections (voted Best Dressed in 2008). I'm also a Uni student when I can wake up in time.
By Night: I write profusely for various inspiring publications to alleviate the pain of studying engineering for six years.
Style: I'd like to say conservative with a bit of kick - think GQ but a bit less metro.
Season: Summer - It's the only season where you can head down to your local Woolies in a Mankini and a pair of Ugg boots without getting arrested.
Boxers or Briefs? Briefs. If you do boxers you may as well go commando.
Bikini or One Piece? Both would accentuate me in all the wrong places. Null.
Skinnies or Loose Fitting? Loose fit please. I have no idea how men who wear skinnies can still be fertile after they sit and cross their legs.
Flats or Heels? Japanese Geta sandals.
I'm slowly weeding my way into the media industry even though I'm finishing an Engineering degree. I figured writing would be more fun than spanking the maths monkey with a bunch of blokes for the next fifty years of my life. Unfortunately I came to this conclusion when I was three years into my degree. Never mind - knowledge is never a disadvantage I say!
I currently write for indie publication www.corkermag.com and get to interview cool bands and attend social events. I purchase more books than I can read, talk more than I write and eat more than I can digest. My regular must reads include SMH's Good Weekend and Newmatilda.com. I also have an acute fondness towards anything Erin McNaught, Sara Groen, Lizzy Lovette or Lena Fujii.

Mia Roditis
By Day: I usually shop in Oxford Street Paddington at the designer and high chain stores, i love mixing reasonable priced trends with one off cheap thrills in the Saturday markets, usually whilst sipping on a Chai latte & multitasking on my Viewity (phone) yes, i shop online, on shop til you drop's highly rated one off store, 'frock you!' whilst actually on the scene. If I'm not studying, reading Vogue in my lecture, or working.. I'll be either shopping or at the beach, or shopping at the beach stalls at Bondi or Cronulla!
By Night: I love the clubbing scene. That's where i play on my looks. I love any opportunity to dress up! As long as it's appropriate & not OTT. I'm always in the mood to get use out of my Manolos. If I'm not clubbing, I'll either play it low-key, and enjoy the company of close friends. Pink Salt is one of my Favorite restaurants to chill.
Style: I love to mix it up and surprise people! By day I'll usually be 'boho chic', i opt for maxi dresses, jeanie pants teamed with singlets and open toe sandals. I love jewelry but i must say i only wear statement pieces. By night i like to maintain the easy going day to evening whereabouts looks. Think Chloe Sevigny. This is easy to do. Just tame your tresses with some sea salt spray add some 'jiffy tan' by Benefit, fragrance some Vera Wang Princess & you're set.
Season: Summer is my season!
Boxers or Briefs? Briefs.
Bikini or One Piece? Bikini. Unless i find a way to get my hands on the latest Camilla & Marc Swim range, then I'll consider the one-piece.
Skinnies or Loose Fitting? If we're talking jeans, i say skinnies, i love a tight fit short. However a wide leg jean teamed with a cream chiffon singlet looks casual. In terms of short dresses, i say skin-tight is a big no, no. Unless you're Cheyenne tozzi with an immaculate figure. But you have to do what you feel works for you! As long as you don't have VPL (visible panty line), you can always opt for the LBD. Come on - the little black dress!
Flats or Heels? Lately flats have been my pick. But i always feel heels are the make or break of an outfit! 'You know how picky I am about my shoes and they only go on my feet' - Cher, Clueless. If I fall for an incredibly unreasonably priced pair of shoes, handbag or playsuit, I will find a way to get it.
I strongly believe in the words of Lauren Conrad, 'Always dress nicer than you think you should..'

Stephanie Lau
By Day: UNSW Hospitality & Marketing student
By Night: I love reading, hanging out with my friends, writing in my journal and exploring the neighbourhood.
Style: I dress depending on what the weatherman say... that’s the first step right? Also depends on my mood. My wardrobe is like the dress-up chest we had in pre-school (minus the stained aprons and ill-fitting bloomers)- it’s a bit of everything from my favourite beige trench coat and my patterned skirts to my collection of stockings in every colour known to man (almost).
Season: Summer for sure is my season! because of the sun, surf and sunsets at 8pm (more reason to wake up late) but I absolutely love the fashion during the colder months as well.
Boxers or Briefs? For both girls and boys, briefs. You might think I’m crazy for thinking this question was targeted at girls, but I’ve seen a few interesting trends in my neighbourhood before (tacky satin boxers worn under an awfully short uniform skirt girls? That’s one trend I definitely didn’t catch on).
Bikini or One Piece? I’d have to say bikinis for me since there’s a 99% chance I can’t rock any one-piece swimsuit off the rack (even if it is a dark colour, striped and can create the illusion of something flattering!). The bikini tan lines are also more acceptable than the ones you get from wearing a one-piece when you look at yourself in the mirror.
Skinnies or Loose Fitting? Depends on what you have on top. Skinnies if it’s something loose fitting on top, loose-fitting if it’s something tight on top. You don’t want to suffocate from squeezing into your skin-tight jeans, nor would you want to resemble a sack of walnuts, so it’s all in the theory of balance.
Flats or Heels? Both can work wonders to an outfit. Just one word of advice girls; until the day you’ve mastered how to walk in heels painlessly without resembling a raging moose, stick to flats.
I love puzzles and drawing pictures of peoples’ eyes. I have incessant OCD tendencies when it comes to cleaning my room. I always cry and/or laugh at the wrong time during movies. The examination of the cross-sections of food items never cease to amaze me. If I could only take one thing from my room, it will be my journals. I love scrap booking. I like to collect recipes (whether I actually use them is a different story). I think Audrey Hepburn embodied elegance and style. I love watching old black and white films. I love singing loudly whilst I’m showering. I have a love/hate relationship towards little kids. My favourite comedy series is Blackadder. If there was a rehab to cure impulsive shopping, I would definitely sign up.

Katie Preston Toepfer
By Day: Writer/photographer/journalism
By Night: Superhero
Style: Simple Elegance, 80's glam, urban street style
Season: Summer is my season!
Boxers or Briefs? Boxers.... Comfort all the way!
Bikini or One Piece? Depends, I love them both.
Skinnies or Loose Fitting? Skinnies and loose fitting. It really depends on where you're wearing them.
Flats or Heels? Flats, easier to dance in
I am a Masters Journalism student with a background in fine arts, which I studied at COFA, UNSW. I am a writer/photographer for online fashion/art web-sites. In my free time you'll find me at the beach with my husband and our two dogs. I'm a huge animal lover. I also love taking photos and have exhibited at galleries across Sydney. Night time is reserved for eating good food, catching up with friends and family and dancing till the wee hours.

By Day: Realist
By Night: Dreamer
Style: I like to think of myself as a fashion nomad - whatever tickles my fancy.
Season: SUMMER ....is my season!
Boxers or Briefs? Briefs
Bikini or One Piece? Bikini
Skinnies or Loose Fitting? Little bit of column A and a little bit of column B
Flats or Heels? While flats are ideal for frolicking around in, there are times when heels are a must!
I am a Sydney girl who is a little bit too addicted to social networking and completely obsessed with blogging. I love to find inspiration in the everyday, and I love making little lists in my head about all the things that I love, such as making banana muffins, hanging with my puppies and canaries and always always ALWAYS fashion.
